Mothers don’t often get the recognition they deserve. Throughout our lives, they provide love, support and security, selflessly championing our dreams. Kevin Durant knows he owes a lot to his mom, which is why he used his heartfelt 2014 MVP speech to thank her – words that taught an entire generation how to salute one’s parent and celebrate their sacrifices.
